The Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) Southwest Chapter is composed of INMM members in good standing from the states of Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. The chapter also provides direct support to INMM student chapters at Texas A&M University and the University of New Mexico, and will provide advice and support to any university in its region with students interested in forming an INMM student chapter.
Due to its regional nature and the purpose of the organization to promote nuclear materials management, many chapter members are associated with U.S. Department of Energy facilities such as the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Nevada National Security Site, Pantex, and Sandia National Laboratories. Other chapter members are important contributors in industry and academia throughout the region.
In addition to supporting and actively participating in the INMM Annual Conference, workshops and other conferences throughout the world, many Southwest Chapter members also serve vital roles in the INMM national organization, its Technical Divisions, and Committees.
Please consider joining the Southwest Chapter at the following annual events:
- Annual Membership Dinner – usually held mid-January in Santa Fe with relative and informative speakers
- Taos Technical Conference – usually held during May in Taos with regular and student members presenting scientific and technical papers, some which may also be presented at the INMM Annual Conference
- General Membership Meeting – usually held after sessions on the Wednesday at the INMM Annual Conference
