INMM 2020 Annual Meeting Update

Dear INMM Community:

As previously announced, the INMM leadership team has been evaluating all options for presenting the 61st Annual Meeting in light of the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our focus has always been on delivering the quality education, information sharing, and discussion opportunities that our attendees have come to expect while ensuring the safety and well-being of our participants.

 

After careful consideration of all possibilities and the issues impacting global travel and in-person events, I am truly delighted, on behalf of the Annual Meeting Committee and the Executive Committee of INMM, to announce our plans to convert the annual meeting to a virtual platform and invite you to join us for the 61st Annual Meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management, to be held virtually over our same dates – July 12 – 16, 2020.
Our virtual meeting will continue with our theme “Collaboration and Connection,” and will feature the same speakers, topics, poster presenters, exhibit opportunities, and discussion format that we planned to offer in person. We will have a robust platform that is user-friendly for participants and presenters, with virtual technical support and options that elevate it beyond a standard webinar or online program and maintain the high quality that you can expect from the INMM Annual Meeting.

 

Having a virtual meeting offers a highly convenient way to view our exciting programming from the comfort of your own home or office, with no travel and travel-related expenses! Moreover, going virtual has many benefits that extend far beyond the traditional in-person meeting.
  • The platform supports more than 2000 participants, and due to lower cost and no travel approvals, we expect to attract a larger and more geographically diverse group to learn and network virtually.
  • The content will be recorded and retained online, meaning that registrants can access recordings in the weeks following the meeting.
  • Our online platform will be structured to offer more insight into audience perceptions, concerns and interests, and allow Session Chairs to select questions for the presenter to answer during the Q&A.
Complete details for the July 12 – 16 virtual event will be announced in the coming weeks, along with the opportunity to register. In the meantime, please continue to save the dates and plan to participate.
