Seeking Chair, Cybersecurity and Emerging Technology Committee

The INMM Executive Committee (EC) seeks expressions of interest from Members of the Institute to serve as the Chair of the newly established INMM Cybersecurity and Emerging Technology Committee (CET).

The CET Chair will lead the development and implementation of crosscutting initiatives within the Institute’s programs focusing on the challenges and opportunities posed by cybersecurity and emerging technologies within the nuclear materials management field. The Committee will assist the Executive Committee, the technical divisions and the ANSI Standards committees to identify linkages and highlight potential activities related to cybersecurity and emerging technologies as they impact the nuclear materials management field. The chair should be a subject matter expert (SME) fluent in cybersecurity or other emerging technologies as well as have a broad knowledge of the disciplines in nuclear materials management.

The responsibilities of the Chair include:

  • Recruit committee members with an effort to identify at least one member from each of the Technical Divisions.
  • Identify specific topical areas for INMM activities (in particular, the annual meeting) related to cybersecurity and emerging technologies as they potentially interface with or impact the related nuclear material management topical areas.
  • Attend each tri-annual EC meeting and provide written and oral Committee reports consistent with the deadlines established by INMM HQ. Upon invitation, attend monthly teleconferences to support strategic and other discussions.
  • Provide a committee report for the INMM Annual Report.
  • Convene periodic Committee meetings in person or virtually.
  • Participate in the Annual Meeting scoping discussions.
  • Attend the Technical Program Committee meeting for the Annual Meeting.
  • Solicit and provide papers for consideration for publication in the Journal of Nuclear Materials Management.
  • Mentor other INMM members and seek opportunities to increase next generation participation of INMM members and leaders.
  • Work with Technical Divisions and INMM Chapter in the development and implementation of workshops.
