The Management Oversight Support Chair serves at the pleasure of the Executive Committee and assists them in providing an overarching technical and operational perspective across the six standing committees that support INMM Management. The Chair’s focus is to facilitate cooperation and coordination across the committees and throughout INMM in order to improve efficiency of operations and create synergies. The Chair may select ad hoc committee members from within the standing committees that support INMM management. The Management Support Oversight Chairperson should be a Senior Member of the INMM.
The standing committees that are under the purview of the Management Support Oversight Chair:
Education and Training, including Student Activities
Journal of Nuclear Materials Management
The Primary responsibilities of the Management Support Oversight Chairperson include:
Participate in the INMM Executive Committee Meetings.
Provide appropriate leadership and coordination with the six standing committees that support INMM management to ensure that INMM’s overall goals are supported by the activities of the committees.
Monitor events and activities throughout the Institute and the nuclear materials management community and provide insights and information to the six standing committees that support INMM management.
Recommend individuals to be considered for leadership positions within the six standing committees that support INMM management.
Provide targeted support as requested by the Chairs of the six standing committees that support INMM management.
Coordinate with the Technical Division Oversight Chair and Operations Oversight Chair to improve coordination and cooperation within the Institute.
Submit to the INMM Treasurer an annual budget request for the subsequent fiscal year.
Ensure committee requests for EC action are provided in a timely fashion to the Secretary.
Serve as a Technical Program Committee member.
Serve as an advisor to the Executive Committee, with no voting privileges.
