Who should join the INMM?
INMM membership is open to anyone involved in the development, teaching, and application of technologies and procedures for the management and protection of nuclear materials.

Why join the INMM?
INMM fills the void created by the limited curricula for the training of nuclear materials management professionals at educational institutions. It helps combine on-the-job training and the exchange of ideas as the primary source for those in the field to learn the best approaches and procedures for implementing all aspects of nuclear materials management.

The Institute combines the training and experience of those who are actively involved in the development and application of procedures and equipment with those who are directly involved in operations.

Membership Categories
Individuals may participate in the Institute in the following membership categories:

Regular Member (Online application) existing members should not use this link to renew their membership dues.
An individual who has been educated in a subject relevant to nuclear materials management or has been engaged in the practice of nuclear materials management for a suitable period of time. A college degree is not required for membership but is considered in assessing an applicant's qualifications. Regular members pay $50 annually.

Senior Members (Download application)
A member who has 10 or more years of active experience in nuclear materials management and/or safeguards and who has been a member of the Institute for at least five consecutive years. Senior membership status is awarded by application to, and approval by, the Membership Committee who make recommendations on approval to the Executive Committee. Senior members pay $50 annually.

Fellow
Senior Members who have attained distinction in the field of nuclear materials management may be honored with the rank of Fellow through nomination by their peers, recommendation by the Fellows Committee and approval by the Executive Committee. Fellow members pay $50 annually.

Emeritus Member (Download application)
Any member in good standing who is no longer gainfully employed because of retirement or other causes. Emeritus membership status is obtained by application to, and approval by, the Executive Committee. Emeritus members pay $20 annually.

Student Member (Online application) existing members should not use this link to renew their membership dues.
A student in a nuclear or allied field who is currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution at the college or university level. Student members pay $20 annually.

Sustaining Member (Online application) existing members should not use this link to renew their membership dues.
Organizations that desire to encourage and assist the Institute through financial contributions. Sustaining members receive an engraved plaque, updated each year and receive significant recognition at Institute meetings and activities. Sustaining Members may send a number of their employees to INMM-sponsored meetings at reduced registration fees.

Sustaining members pay the following fees annualy, depending on the level applied for:

Level One (0-19 employees) $250
Level Two (20-49 employees) $500
Level Three (50 or more employees) $750

Applications are reviewed by the Membership Committee and notification of acceptance is usually be provided within 30 days of receipt of the application.
