The first three workshops addressed the topic Science and Modern Technology for Safeguards. The 2003 Workshop addressed the topic Safeguards Perspectives for a Future Nuclear Environment. The 2005 Workshop addressed the topic Changing the Safeguards Culture: Broader Perspectives and Challenges.

These workshops afford attendees the opportunity to informally and actively participate in the discussions and to interface with experts, program managers and policy makers.
