Mark your calendars now for the preeminent international radioactive materials packaging and transportation conference, PATRAM 2010.  PATRAM is held once every three years, alternating locations between the U.S. and other countries.  PATRAM 2010 will be held Oct. 3-8, 2010, in London, UK.

The theme of this 16th PATRAM conference is “Looking to the Future”.  Technical topic areas include; packaging technology and design, package manufacture and testing, interim storage of spent nuclear fuel and wastes, transport operations, and security issues associated with transport of nuclear and radioactive materials.  In addition, there are plans for a robust series of panel discussions with topic areas including; regional emerging issues, future trends in regulations, sustainability of shipments, management controls, and public acceptability.

The Call for Papers is out with a deadline for abstract submittals of Jan. 31, 2010.  Also, PATRAM 2010 expects to have a large exhibitor presence and is currently accepting reservations for exhibition space.  Check out all the details for the conference at www.PATRAM2010.org.
